How to use your N95 mask

Wearing an N95 mask properly is equally important to prevent yourself and others as well from any infection. If you have heart or lung problems, it is better to take advice from your doctor. Before wearing it, first, wash your hands. Hold N95 in your hand with nose piece bar upwards. Place it on your chin with a nose piece bar at the top. Make sure it covers your nose lips and chin. Pull both straps at the back of your head. Press down on both sides of the nose piece to mold it to the shape of your nose.

To check N95 is fitted properly, place your hands on the mask, cover it as much as possible, then breathe out. If your breath is leaking out from the edge of the mask; it means you are not wearing it properly. Always remember that your breath should pass through the mask, not around the edges of the mask. If you don’t get a tight seal around your mouth, try a different sized mask.
