Time to Travel: No travel restrictions in Foreign Countries

With the growing number of cases during the Covid 19 pandemic especially during the deadly second wave, many countries banned tourists from different countries. As the situation eased out, these countries have started lifting the ban, allowing people to visit the countries. Now, people from India can travel to these countries without undergoing quarantine. Here is the list of countries:

 Maldives:

The country has allowed fully vaccinated Indians to visit the country without getting quarantined. Upon arrival, the visitors have to show their proof of vaccination and a negative covid-19 test report which was done within 96 hours of travel.

No Travel restrictions for Indians

Switzerland:

People from India can travel to Switzerland without getting quarantined. They must be fully vaccinated with WHO-approved vaccines and present the certificate upon arrival.

United Kingdom:

Earlier, the UK government had stated that people from India who have taken the Covishield vaccine need to undergo a 10-day self-quarantine period upon arrival. But recently, they have lifted these restrictions and now Indians can travel to the UK fully vaccinated with Covishield vaccine, without having to go 10-day quarantine.

Canada:

Canada had banned all flights from India a few months ago. From September 21st, Canada has lifted the ban from direct flights to and from India, and the requirement for RT-PCR test is no longer required.

United States of America:

The USA banned flights from other countries from last year. The United States will allow visitors from 33 nations from November which includes India, China, Brazil, and most European countries. The visitors need to be fully vaccinated. More guidelines will come out soon.

Turkey:

From September 1st, Travellers will no longer be required a quarantine period of 14 days, people who are fully vaccinated and have spent the previous 14 days in India are allowed. The Culture and Tourism Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in India stated that this exemption covers vaccines approved by the Turkish government and WHO. After WHO approves of Covaxin, Indians who took Covaxin will also be able to travel to Turkey.

Germany:

There are travel restrictions for Germany, Indians aged 12 or above have to provide proof of vaccination, a negative certificate of Covid19 test result, or proof of recovery from Covid19. People vaccinated with covaxin need to include the date of birth or passport number on the Vaccination certificate.

No Travel restrictions for Indians

UAE:

In UAE, travel restrictions for India have been eased out from September. There will be no restriction for 14 countries including India but people should be vaccinated with WHO-approved vaccines. The UAE National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority declared that PCR testing will be run before entering the nation.

France :

There are no travel restrictions and no quarantine required for Indians, but Indians who are partially vaccinated or not vaccinated, need to provide RT-PCR negative results 72 hours before leaving for France. Apart from these countries, Spain, Nepal, Kenya, Italy, Egypt, Russia, Mauritius, Iceland, and Uzbekistan have also allowed Indians to travel to these countries without quarantine. It is recommended that before planning for travel, one should check the rules and guidelines of the country.
