Take a sigh of clean air with Air Purifier

With increasing pollution in the metro cities which is largely due to the carbon emission of vehicles and industries, people are bound to live in polluted air. It has been a growing concern with an onset of Covid 19 not only for outdoor pollution but indoor pollution as well. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), United States found out that indoor air can be five times as polluted as outdoor air. Since indoor air circulates within an enclosed area, many air pollutants remain there and continue to grow.

In order to tackle this problem, Air Purifier proves to be an effective solution, improves the quality of indoor air quality. It is designed to refresh indoor air, limit the spread of harmful allergic and viral elements. It is often seen in houses that continued dampness causes molds and other impurities resulting in crucial health issues, such as respiratory infection, asthma, and neurological problems. With the help of air purifiers, one can have a healthy and quality life.

How it works:

The air purifier contains one fan and filters, the fan (internal fan) absorbs the indoor air, the air goes through the filters. While it passes through, the filters trap pollutants available in the air, as- dust, bacteria, and pollens, etc., and neutralize polluted air. Post that it disperses clean air back to the room.  By this process, it maintains clean, healthy air in the room.

These are few different types of air purifiers:

Ultraviolet Air Purifiers:

The UV purifiers are small compact machines that kill mold, germs, and other bacteria present in the environment by a chamber filled with UV light. Since the special light bulbs are used to purify the air, the bulbs need to be replaced every year to get a quality service.

HEPA Air Purifiers:

They are very effective air purifiers, remove 99.7% of harmful particles and pollutants with their air filters, however, the air filters cannot trap microorganisms small than 0.2 microns. The filters need to be replaced every month.

Activated Carbon Filters:

These are effective in removing harmful gases, odors, and smells from the room. They may be less effective in removing pollutants, germs, and bacteria if they do not contain HEPA air filters.

Electronic Air Cleaners:

This is a whole-home solution for air cleaning. Its HEPA filters work with a heating and cooling system. The filters and the ionizing wires or collector cells must be cleaned after every month.

Central Air Cleaners:

These types of air purifiers are 98% efficient in removing particles, allergens from the home, thus, extend the life of AC and heaters of the home. They are required to be professionally installed.

Air-to Air Exchange:

They are a kind of ventilators, also regulate the temperature and humidity by using ‘energy recovery ventilators. They are helpful in removing stale air poor circulation at home. Before buying an air purifier, provision of these things needs to be considered, as size compatibility, noise level, HEPA filters, asthma and allergy-friendly certification, clean-air delivery rate, air change per hour rating, and ozone emission.
