Sasural Genda Phool, which was a huge success on television between 2010 to 2012 is expected to make a come-back. It has been quite prevalent these days to have a second season of the shows on the small screen which were previously a bid hit.

There are many other shows like Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Wagle Ki Dunia: Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, Saath Nibbana Saathiya and Mann Ki Awaz Pratgya 2 have season 2. Earlier, the show was telecast on Star Plus but this time it will be launched on Star Bharat.

According to the sources the work is in full swing under Ravi Ojha Productions and is expected to be launched very soon.

The producers are interested in retaining the original actors, so Sooraj Thapar and Supriya Pilgaonkar are said to be participating in the second season. Many actors like Jay and others have given their approval and have been assigned, but who will play the role of the female leading character, has not been decided yet.

Earlier, the role of Suhana was played by Ragini Khanna which had been appreciated by the fans. This time, Ragini might not be playing the lead role as she has not been approved to play the role. The sources said that talks and negotiations are going on with her. if things work well, the original cast will be shoot, or else they will have to show Ragini’s character died in the second season. It is also possible that the female lead might be a new character.

The lead stars Jay Soni and Ragini Khanna had such wonderful chemistry in the show that it acquired an enormous fan following. The viewers could not stay without watching the show. The story revolved around Ishaan and Suhana whose parents decided to get them married to each other.

The crisis occurs after they got married, both of them were brought up in a different environment, it took a lot of time for them to adjust to each other. The show had presented a classic ambiance of a joint family where family members were deeply attached. Initially, Suhana could not adjust with them but with love, care, and affection she received from the family, won her heart. 

In Season 2, the show will be presented with a different storyline, but whatever the case be, it certainly would be an excellent family drama. The Indian small screen viewers comprise a great number of housewives who usually like to watch family dramas.

The shows portraying family drama, social values, structure, and many social and emotional challenges while living in a family make these viewers empathize with the characters. Somehow the viewers begin to find the solutions to the problems they face in their own lives.

In the previous season, Sasural Genda Phool had presented the problems a new bride could face in a new environment and also how the family adjusts themselves with a new member.

We hope for Ragini to come back this time too, if not, she will surely be missed by her fans.
